It is a good board game for beginners because:
- it is inexpensive (usually less than $20 at places like eBay, Amazon, Walmart.com, etc)
- it is one of many simple board games in that it only takes around 30 minutes to play.
- And there are not a lot of rules, details, etc to keep up with during the game play.
As a cooperative style board game, it has you working together as a team to achieve a common goal: gather the artifacts before the island sinks. You all win, or lose, together!
And don't let the inexpensive price fool you...this game has lots of adventure, replay value, and vivid artwork, making your adventure come alive each time you play!
This was my first atypical board game purchase. I say atypical because I always thought of board games being only ones like Checkers, Parcheesi, Monopoly, etc. But the board games that we will share here are on a different level, and hold much more adventure and fun!
